Hey there, noel-hime! I left answering this comment a bit late, didn't I? ^_^' Yup, I love making friends on MT too. It's so fun to meet all of you guys! It's just so different from the usual crowd I get around here.. and I get to avoid most of the annoying people too... Plus, enjoy MT's wonderful art. ^.^

I always seem to come on to MT a bit late.. it's midnight already, you know? :nya: What time is it over there? It always helps to know the time difference..

Well, see you! Take care!

aozoraskies

hey..it's okay..I'm currently ON HIATUS right now....I just logged in for a couples of minutes....yes..so we can know what the outside world is like..not just our sorroundings..haha..wow that's another reason..yes..MT's wonderful art ^^

really? I come in MT as soon as I am done with my homework and other things haha..well it's 5:17 PM in here right now..

Take care too ^^

Quote by aozoraskiesYay! I can comment here without worrying of being muted! :P Anyway I'm really happy to be your friend. ^.^ Ooh, you like Vampire Knight too! And Black Cat! And Ginban Kaleidoscope! Well I didn't like the first few episodes of Ginban, but any way... Good! We seem to have similar interests! Haha. Oops, too many exclamation marks.. Hmm, learning Chinese? I'm supposed to be okay with it..since I'm Chinese...but I'm not that good. *ashamed* Well, at least I know what 'ni hao' means! XD See you!

aozoraskies

Hey!~ ^^
Vampire Knight is awesome~ But then the anime is so ugly... Black Cat's anime is really awesome in the beginning and the ending is bad... Ginban Kaleidoscope doesn't have a good quality anime but then the plot is nice~ And I love he Ending :D Yup! We have so many similar interest >_< I'm Indonesian Chinese :) And I'm living in China XD I'm not too good in Chinese either~ But yea~ Ni Hao!~ XD

Quote by aozoraskiesAnd I was just thinking that there were barely any art for the other characters of Vampire Knight. Yay! I love your gorgeous yet simple vector of Shiki. The gradient you used in this version fits it perfectly! The sakura is nicely done too and I like the splatter of blood on the right sakuras.. how did you do it? I don't know how to place the splatter just so..was it vectored? IMO, though, the blood running down looks a little odd.. But it's a dark, bloody wall so what can we expect? I still really like it anyway. Starry night and a full moon, which glow is subdued by the gleaming eyes of Shiki... I love the concept. Maybe the sky could do with a faint wisp of cloud so that it doesn't look like it's practically in space? I mean, I don't mind, I think it gives an unearthly feel. XD But you know, to make it more natural..

See you!

http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/2990/shikitakkte5.jpg

I think I'm one of the first person to wall someone in VK that's not that 3 main characters XD
I blood splatters are bushed~ :) I can never make my own blood splatters XD I also think that the running down blood is weird... but.. ah well.. -_- I was going to add some clouds too but I forgot... ^_^' And maybe Shiki is flying in space X-P
Anyways~ Thank You Very Much! :D

Well, I have Terry Pratchett's Discworld series in word format. I can e-mail them to you if you want. Just PM me your e-mail address. Sandman is not exclusively Gaiman's creation. If I recalled correctly, Pratchett's Discworld has it's own Sandman :D

Coraline was about a girl being kidnapped by the 'other mother', which is actually the mother of rats. The thing that creeps me out is the song that the rats used to sing. I think it goes something like: "We are small, but we are many... we were here when you were sleeping, we will be here when you're gone..." I used to have a screen saver with them rats singing that song with falls voice >_<

I haven't had the time to read Holly Black's work. I watched and play Spiderwick, though. It looks interesting :p

Quote by aozoraskiesHi, noel-hime! Thanks for adding me to your friendlist! ^.^ I want to say more but I really need my sleep.. See you tomorrow night! Haha..

hello there aozora-chan ^^ no prob..I love having friends here at MT..that's okay..go get some sleep now ^^

Quote by aozoraskiesHey there, YuliaPamela! Ermm.. could I just call you Yulia or Pamela? Seems a bit awkward to call you by the full name.. anyway, I was wondering why you hadn't answer my comment. Then I remembered that when the comments merge, it doesn't show in the notifications...anyway, I quoted what I said down there just in case you haven't seen it yet..

Hi, new friend! :) ^.^

Well, working on any new pictures? I'm no expert but I'm trying to do a vector plus paint piece with this: Love under Sakura by epsilon86

Actually I was going to do a vector of this scan first but then I found the other one which was just as beautiful but easier. Not by much though.. I know I will take ages to finish them and I probably get sidetracked too...have to study too..

Erm...I noticed you did the quote wrongly; you had the names kinda mixed up and all... just click 'q' or 'quote' at the right of the message and copy the quote you see there. It's easier that way, I think..that's how I do it anyway; maybe the others do it some other way.

Would you like to join one of my groups?

See it? I can't believe you haven't join any groups yet! I mean, it's not a must but I think that by now, surely someone's invited you. How can aomeone as talented as you not be in the Doujinshi Support Group yet?! Haha. But take it easy... relax! No need to rush, I suppose..

See you

Oh and since that member's birthday has long since passed, you don't need to wish her happy birthday anymore... haha. Hope to see you there!

And I'm not working on those vectors now... I'm doing something easier first..

Oh, I'm sorry... Yes I didn't received the notification, some glitch at my notification?
Hey, u can call me Yulia ^^
Thank you for the info for quote, I'm bad at computer skill...-__-
I'll join, thank you very much for inviting me. ^^. I not join to any group, maybe cuz I'm not so active, I not used type many words in English.
Good luck with the vector, I really want to learn vector, but my photoshop skill is so so (or maybe it's done using illustrator?), I mainly only use photoshop for cleaning, cropping, add brightness or contrast
Thank you for all ursupport & comment.

Quote by aozoraskiesYet another lovely piece of art from you! Love the softness of colours in this picture. The yellow contrasts nicely with the dark layers of sleeves under her robe and I can see that you took the time to add in some intricate details.. Wonderful colouring and drawing of Shuurei's headdress! Your trademark in colouring shinnering hair is definitely noticed.. And I kind of like the textured background..so did you have to extract Shurrei to apply the texture on the background or did you just use a pattern stamp? Or a brush? Just curious..

See ya!

Thank you, thank you very much. ^0^
I use pattern stamp ^^.
Did it soft? I took time to keep it smooth ^^

Quote by aozoraskiesThe clouds drift into wisps, like whimsical tendrils of silky smoke...creating an atmosphere of serenity.. Two hands touched, but will they remain clasped? Their wish hovers between them; together forever. curved lines like strings gently entangled, give the two form; their silhouettes were tender poses, yet one almost felt that like sand structures, they may disintegrate and shift with the gasp of a wind.. Rustic shadows shade, and the locks of the couple's hair gleamed.. like black bubbles from sea froth, circles float..I hope that they are not the sign of a coming tide to wash them away.

Well, I haven't felt like doing this in a while; being poetic. Thanks gabychan, for waking it up! Actually, when I saw this and how wonderful it has been described, I was going to write something like 'the mods say it all already" But then, I got a slight competitive streak and decided to make my own statement. :D

Yes, it is beautiful. ANd I certainly overdid my analysis.. well, would you mind fixing the links? We can't seem to get through... Otherwise, Great Job! I want to see more! In fact, I'll watchlist you, if you don't mind.

See you around!
aozoraskies

Aww, that was very kind of you. That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever written about my wall. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

About the links, I tried them just now and it works fine. Maybe Imageshack has a problem back then. Would you care to give it another try? If it's still broken then tell me about it and I'll re-host them.

And of course I don't mind the watch. I'm adding you to my friend list. Once again, thank you and I wish you a wonderful day :D

Thanks for adding me back :D
You asked me my favorite Diana Wynne Jones book in the Ghibli thread... I'm going to reply here instead, I don't think it's proper to discuss it there since it has nothing to do with Ghibli ^_^
It's hard to say which one is my favorite... I love all Chrestomanci series, but the ones I like the most are The Magicians of Caprona, Conrad's Fate, and The Lives of Christopher Chant. I also love Howl's Moving Castle, of course. I haven't read The Castle in the Air and the Dalemark Quartets, but I plan to do that in the future. The ones I don't like so much are Hexwood and Merlin's Conspiracy.
How about you?

I love young adults fantasy books. Actually, I prefer the over anime or manga :p Other than Diana W.J. books, the other series I like are the Inheritance trilogy, Chronicles of Narnia, and the Bartimaeus trilogy.

merged: 04-24-2008 ~ 05:54pm
Well, I did read Pinhoe's Egg, but it's not memorable as the other books, IMO. Cat is acting like a snooty pompous brat in that book, which is one of the attitude I hate the most in real life. That's why I did not find reading that book enjoyable. As for Merlin's Conspiracy, well I don't really like it because it's being tell from the first person point of view, otherwise, it's pretty good. Oh yea, the timeline of Hexwood is scrambled, alright XD

Yep, the Inheritance trilogy is the one with Eragon and Eldest. The third book, Brimsingr is out in hardcover on March. I'm waiting for the paperback because I'm broke :) I haven't read Abhorsen yet. Was planning to borrow it from my friend. Well, talk about scary, I'd say Neil Gaiman's Coraline is another good example.

Nyaa, but right now I'm obsessed with Terry Pratchett's Discworld books :nya:
Witty, funny, a very unique style! Here's the excerpt of one of his book called "Mort" clicky ^_^ I can't stop laughing XD

just stopping by and saying

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n67/pinklotus89/Fav.gif

many <3 and appreciation. hope you''ll have a wonderful day!

Quote: You've gotten really skilled in this now, haven't you, Scott? Love the colours on the two girls...they look sort of softly lit. Like kashikosa says , wonderful use of gradients. I like the crispness of the hair of that girl in green...sorry, I've never watched Da Capo so I'm not sure of her name. One thing though; when I just enlarged it, I could see that her arm closer to the top looked a bit out of proportion...however, in the full-sized version, I couldn't really tell anyway. The background is indeed airy...looks like they're hovering in the air or something. If I think to much about that, I almost get vertigo. Just me being weird. :P Actually to tell the truth, if you put shadows and some slight reflections in, it would look like a glassy surface, like the frozen face of a pond...but that would be a bit tougher not to mention, kind of strange... Anyway, this is a lovely vector!

Why thank you! This wallpaper seemed to have gotten lost due to all the wallpapers that were submitted around the time...

This is a little secret...I actually didn't use any gradients for this wallpaper. O_o But it does look like there are. ^_^ I think this is because of the sunlight rays are overlayed on top.

What do you mean by out of porportion though? The lineart? Or the size of the hand? I do agree though that the lines are a little thicker...I remember saying "crap..I did these lines at 300% zoom instead of 500% zoom..........."

That would be cool too, to make it like a lake, but I don't think I would know where to start...or if I could even do it! :O

Thanks again for the comment, your comments are always very constructive and insightful, which is great! :)

Quote by YuliaPamela[quot(...) could tell with one look that this was yours. ^.^ Well, well, this is a rather serene, sunlit scene with nice peaceful lighting..In this case, the graininess actually looks good. I really like how you did the sheen in his hair; it's like your trademark. The colours are nice and bright but not too overpowering. I can see you attempting some wood grain texture for the table and I have to say, it doesn't look bad at all. He looks very studious, doesn't he? Like really concentrating yet very confident; he knows he'll get through it fine. I like the depth of lighting you did on his clothes...gosh, you even made the effort to draw out all the panels in the form! It looks really realistic, by the way..

Well, great work! Keep up with it!

I can't thank you for you enough for all the comments, all of them is very constructive. Thank you so much. ^^
So I can't quote at the submission's comment, although I don't understand why but I follow ur advice, thank you for telling me ^^.

Sure, no problem. Though to tell you the truth, I do wonder exactly how my comments are helping you..lol. Hey, like to be friends? I'll add you first...
