Shounen-ai that you can read without realising it is - because those boys just can't be boys, really, in the first
few chapters. o-o However, this is one of Lily Hoshino's prettiest and safest works (barring the last two chapters), and I liked the fantasy touches. And oh fine, I liked it safe then. >3> The master-slave kinks in the other stuff she writes just isn't my thing hmm kay? The art is so beautiful though.... Lily Hoshino + fairy-tales - heavy master-slave torture = GOOD. 'Nuff said.

Intriguing plotline and play of timeline. Keeps us on our toes, wondering how the events had played out to bring us the
characters and their circumstances as they are. Add the setting of America in the 1930s, alive with Jazz and Mafia alike
in the streets, conspiracy theories adrift; and you have quite a winner. Once again, Narita Ryohgo's cast of thousands are charming and varied - the seemingly wimpy, tearful Jacuzzi who will go to all extends for the people he cares about, with his strangely spontaneous bravery; the Immortal eternal child, Czelaw, ruthless in his will to live and continue; the silent, deadly Chane completely dedicated to her 'father'; the initially unassuming Claire Stanfield who goes on to play a huge part in the story of the Rail Tracer; the explosives-happy Nice; the three Gandor brothers, vastly different from each other but a team nonetheless; Eve, quietly bold and strong-spirited; and who can foget Miria and Isaac, one of the most fun and random duos you'll ever find. You might find similarities to Drrr's cast - yet these all have their own backstories and personalities, so much more individual. Watch! Once you get over the skipping timelines, and the vaguely heavy pilot, you'll fall in love. Next: Baccano! novels~

6.00 (average) | it's sweet, it had potential - but it didn't really go all the way, unfortunately. Nonetheless, you'll get Kyousuke Motomi's usual cast - the vaguely-misunderstood hero who doesn't present the best of impressions but has a good heart all the same; and the heroine who blissfully and willingly ignores the often-threatening truth; and the relationship between them will always be a mix of sort-of squabbling, taking care of each other and "omg why why the hell am I still here, with YOU" -ness. In this case, not so much the latter - Leo's too naively adorable and Yuiko likes adorable animals too much. And not to forget, of the usual cast, you also will get - the ever-doting and often hilarious brother/son/daughter/granddaughter complex heh heh. It makes a nice shoujo anyway, and Motomi has this style where he/she just can't seem to take it seriously and has too much fun playing with the character interaction hahaha. It can take a bit off the plot maybe, so somethings just won't get as dramatic as I wish but still. Entertaining, with a touch of sweetness. And at least, even if Motomi repeats stereotypes, you don't feel like you're reading a duplicate of say, Dengeki Daisy.

Kodaka is a misunderstood high school kid, ostracized for his blonde hair and delinquent-like looks - when really,
he's just an innocent, mix-blooded boy. So innocently mixed up with the affairs of a certain notorious club; the
Neighbours Club. A club of misfits who just want to make friends, with the two hot-headed heroines, the evil and brash
Yozora and the perfect but haughty Sena at its head and forever making life both 'interesting' and hazardous
for the reluctant Kodaka. The scans on MT lie! This manga is so darn hilarious and cute~ If ecchi could always be this sweet and funny, I wouldn't mind tagging at all~ I love how the set up is simple, and the story seems simple. But the plotting and the way new characters are introduced are smooth and comes across as both instantly fun and actually leading to an important plot point. It doesn't start off with an insensible 'here's a derp newcomer! Now, ladies~ Fall for him and drop like flies wahahahaha" either. We can go from classic school club comedy to sadistic Yozara to ecchi to good ole' Shounen and back to comedy and, and - It's wonderful. Plus, character interactions are <3. Crazy Yozora and Sena rivalry, Yukimura's open secret, Kobato's childish playacting as a vampiress and adorable lil sister dependence on Big Brother Kodaka, Maria's ditz, Rika's confusing all-directions ideology - and with all that, Kodaka's one-liners and calm monologue delivered with just a little pinch of "I'm in the middle of deep shite - but I accept. I have to ;_;" Zen-ness. Oh Kodaka. I can't stop reading. Thank you CB.

Erm.. Incest. Me no quite likee. And it's not work-safe at all lol. It had its funny moments, its sweet moments
though.. And wasn't easy to stop reading. Me eyes. lol Still, it was funny. And Yaoi fans will like, yes... And
art wasn't bad.. The funny: Brother interactions: Bigger brother is charismatic, and good at PA and 'selling'; a professional businessman. Yet he feels over-shadowed by his little brother, who upon hitting puberty, almost abruptly developed a rather muscular, 'manly' figure and becomes a renowned sportsman. All the girls are after his little brother! They don't even look like brothers anymore. Some brotherly jealousy then issues. If that's not enough, along comes even more complications.. Otouto is in love with aniki. And goes on to show it the 'teenage boy' way. >_> It's not quite my taste but it is strangely comical...

5.25 (moderate) | This was engaging enough at first, hinted heavily at more possible depth and backstories and then - went NOWHERE. Oi. It had certain events in the story that had quite a bit of impact, a couple of interesting side characters; minus, main characters can annoy so much after a while, side characters not given the right attention, neither did the plotline. I feel that this series wanted to go somewhere but got lost... If it had been presented differently, it could have been a lot better.

6.75 (above average) | While this isn't the greatest manga of all, it's cute. And the art is pretty. Story-wise, it feels a lil like a Pandora Hearts sidestory could be like, with the period fashions and the mangaka's art style, and the slightly spoiled but obviously talented main character, having problems with relationships - but with a little less angst. Has forewarnings, and a convincing enough a storytelling style that goes well with the cuteness - however, with only two chapters scanlated, it's hard to say where this will go.
