7.25 (above average) 5 minute episodes of lolz and satire featuring anthropomorphic personifications of countries through out history. Quite a good lesson for European geography actually, I never knew where the Holy Roman Empire was, and Prussia. XD

Kieli

Seen: completely

Last Updated: May 17, 2011

8.00 (good) Some time in the future, humans left Earth to colonise another planet (which is a lot like Earth. Erm). This new Earth is largely ruled over by the Christian Church, and in the midst of all this, there is Kieli. Kieli is absolutely skeptical of the Church - she believes that "God got tired on the way to the new planet, so he never made it here!". Her cynical view is supported by a few things. One:
Apparently, in the early years of colonisation, there waged a huge war between the Church and its opposition. The Church did the unthinkable and built a force of biologically-enhanced soldiers who cleaved through the rebels' forces like a hot knife through butter - vicious, deadly and undying, self-healing. After the bloody war, the Church then annexes said soldiers and declares that they will hunt down every last one of them, enlisting their one weakness against them (of course >_>) - their literally stone hearts - the source of their healing powers and without, they are pretty much dead. Years and years later, even after a sort of civilisation has been established, the hunts go on and the Church military becomes a feared figure, striking down once-soldiers and rebels in the streets, in plain sight - Children are told that non-believers will be fetched by the Church military.

Two: Kieli can see spirits of the dead, even in church, during the holiest of masses. If there be a merciful God, then why do these pained spirits still haunt the church? So she thinks. So, yeah, perhaps not the cup of tea for Christians... BUT.
The story and pacing is lovely, the introductions of characters and their interactions stand out, you can sympathise with the characters and not find them weak at all. This new world is introduced in such a way that you can nearly FEEL that it is REAL, and you will be moved by the story at the right moments. The final antagonist might not awe much (sigh) but the three main protagonists have a way of earning our hearts so.. Definitely a worthy read.

Kigurumi Planet

Last Updated: Nov 09, 2011

6.00 (average) This was cute. Basically there's been this bunch of kigurumi aka cute-animal-costume-wearers going around, performing stints and stuff. They're super cute and plushy~ But no one has ever seen them take off their animal suits; no one has ever seen their faces. Daisuke has the luck to bump into one of the gang, a pink kigurumi bunny - which falls in love with him at first sight. :o Like it's not odd enough to be lovers with someone who never takes off their full bodysuit, vague (and I mean vague) sci-fi elements come into play - Are these Kigurumi even human?? All in all, it's quite a cute and sweet story and you have to love the sweet awkwardness between Daisuke and Arita, the bunny kigurumi. Still - depth? What depth? Hahahaha, you must be joking. There will be o_o omg cliche moments, sweet moments, strange 'this is MY sci-fi logic' moments, romantic bits and yet sometimes, even actual SURPRISES. Mind you, not everyone may like the surprise :cough:whhyyyArita:cough:
Plus, Arita's a dude. ;)
P.S.Rereading in search of Arita's full name. Lololol Daisuke, your boots. You are SO not straight.

Legend of the Sun Knight

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Jun 01, 2011

7.25 (above average) I am judging the novel, not the manhwa actually. Sorry ^^;. But the manhwa design isn't yet what I imagined when I read the translated novels though the humour and story flows through quite well. :) This is yet another shoujo with bishies with magic powers - But the novelist being the slight sadist, decided to add the Knight systems and royal corruption and necromancy. Sun Knight is apparently the most gentile and have the utmost sanctity, yet the strongest Knight of all; his morals must be profound! He must proclaim the graces of the Sun God in every line he speaks! He must be pure and heavenly unstained! ..Rrriigghhtt. The real Sun Knight would rather loudly curse at the system for the wretched, pretentious life he has to live- with no women! This is the system that has been carried on for ages not known, with their strict beliefs on the characters of the Knights i.e Sun=moral, Storm=flirt, Justice=cruel sadist etc. Add in the fact that Sun was chosen not for skill but for his blonde hair, to his horror, and also the fact that he's much much better at NOT being the Sun Knight, and you get .. Hilarity? lol But the story will run deeper with truths uncovering about the characters, the royal family, necromancy and so forth. Warning: Sadism and wacky humour plus bishies doing unbishie things D: XD

7.25 (above average) I felt so trolled when I read the last few arcs of this manga. lol but it was hilarious, with a strangely realistic art style in a few arcs. Some arcs have a little depth and touching moments - all are trolled by the main pro/antagonist. It will mess with your mind but it'll be a fun trip ;)
