Okay, I've looked up Paint.net. Well, it is not as easy to paint with Paint.net

There is a disadvantage since Paint.net doesn't have the blur/dodge/smudge

Still no smudging though... but if you are smart with setting opacity and flow,
as well as sorting out layers, I think you can still do something great! And I
think you have to leave extraction all to me.. lasso tool is making the lines
jagged..
Of course, it would be nice to have photoshop.. but you still can get by with
Paint.net!
I have taken a closer look.. all right, I can see that you lassoed C.C from the
scan then changed the background. Not what I might do but still a nice job,
considering Paint.net. ^.^ Just... describe the process a bit more, and people
won't come complaining.. I mean, you did write there on the picture that it is
your vector, after all.
Then again, I suppose deviantart isn't as avid about copyright as Minitokyo and
Animepaper (and me :P ) are..

like you are using brushes for the sakura. Well, you know, when you are
painting, you can change the settings for opacity and flow, as well as use the
smudge tool(with low strength). It helps a lot to refer to some tutorials too!

yourself.. I think the pen tool is best for this because you can change the
shape at leisure whereas with a lasso tool, one wrong movement and the whole
thing could be ruined!

Well, I do agree that the enlarge option is useful because it really does help
us decide whether or not we really want to download the picture/ art/ scan. Even
though I have not been a member for very long, there definitely have been times
when I see something that looks promising in the thumbnail but upon
full-viewing, am heavily disappointed. Thankfully, the opposite has happened too
and I get lovely surprises. ^.^ But the point is, the enlarge option helps! So
thanks for putting it in!
Since everyone else told you about the clouds ( softer, more translucent!, more
real etc.) and the water (not so harsh...), I'll tell you this; lighting needs
some tweaking.
The lighting on the girl is kind of like a purple glow. But your background is
lit with blue. Take away or soften the gradient in the distant and use a very
low opacity of purple for the colour overlay on the water and distant mist. You
can get to the colour overlay through the blending options, just in case you
need telling... Maybe a tinge of purple on the clouds/mist too? Try to use
different shades of purple though. And keep away from the reddish ones! They can
kill...

several times. At first, I wasn't too eager because I had no idea how it worked
around here. lol. Then, I found Tama-Neko's websites, was very impressed, found
out she was in Minitokyo, thought if she likes Minitokyo, then it probably is
way more than good enough for me. Haha.
So I took a closer look and found the place thriving. Then I became a
member...was going to be a leecher but I read the policy about credits and since
I can't donate, I decided to try out walling. I don't like becoming a member
without any contribution anyway. And then, I found more beautiful walls and
vectors and Doujinshi and I was rooted to Minitokyo. Made many a friend here and
I think Minitokyo is just wonderful now!
Seriously, I wouldn't be so happy now if I hadn't found this website. Might have
been very much a loner....Minitokyo's the best!
Well, I haven't been snooping about the Sandbox for a while. But this really
caught my eye. I have watched Air Gear before and I sincerely say I like your
version more. ^.^ I like your idea, the lighting suits it well and it would make
a great wallpaper! But of course, like you say, it needs some fixing. In my
opinion, some of the lines on her right arm might need a little smudging or at
least made a little thinner. I know it's for the lighting effect but I still
there is too much shadow at that area. And how about some shadows on her hair?
So it has more emmm.. volume? Maybe try to lighten up some of the yellow? And
personally, I would like that swirl to shine a bit at the top rim and since it
is crazy apple, how about an apple? You do not have to follow that last piece of
advice. But do consider the rest please. I am relatively a newbie but I know art
when I see it and this one can be perfected. Gambatte! Great job from a black

Shinji from Fate/Stay Night did annoy me so. He just gloats, schemes, orders
Rider about then blames her and runs from fights just to get killed. His
"sister' Sakura somewhat annoyed me to. She just lets almost everyone push
her over and around. Man, to tell the truth, a lot of F/S N characters annoy me,
including Shiro himself... I know there's more to him but I dont quite see it in
the anime...
oh and that girl from Absolute Boy with the long hair and Gothic dress? At first
she was ok then annoyed me with how unfeeling and depressive she could be. And
why dos she keep sending e-mails from her handphone to herself? At least in the
end she changed for the better and realise that she has true caring friends out
there...

this a lot earlier but I had put it off unil now. I joined Minitokyo 15 weeks
ago and so far, submitted one wallpaper. That was actually a sort of test so

Like most here, I love anime! I admit to have a somewhat inconsistent taste... I
watch and almost want to cry with sad scenes in Maria-sama ga Miteru at one
point and am totally cold towards Clannad at another... I revelled in the
sword-fighting in both Rurouni Kenshin and Gun X Sword but gave up on Naruto and
Bleach...and I always seem to love deeper stuff like Kino no Tabi and Ghost In
The Shell (2 completely different shows, I know, I know) yet cherish the simpler
feel of that like Kamichu and Absolute Boy. Well, what to do....
Aside from anime, I like reading, drawing, paintng, good live-action shows and
being with great people.
I have recently rekindled a liking for book illustrations...Coincidentally some
people I will call Çer and Ribs recenly lent me a book all abut
storybook illustrations, "Magic Pencils". I savoured the different
styles and uses of media I saw and hoped I could one day achieve that standard.
My latest wallpaper is somewhat inspired by a storybook illustration I got ages
ago from Ribs. It was a book about the pioneer years of America and the pony
express was still being used...wonderful oils were used and scenes were painted
out beautifully and with such lovely textures...because of that, subconsciously
I made the sky in my wall so. But I only realised after it was all done.
Well, I hope to meet new (but not too dangerous :P) people. Age isn't a problem
to me, I should think. In fact, in real life I sometimes get along better with
my juniors and older (but nice ones only) teachers. Still, I have good
relationships with everyone overall...except a few that got me into trouble and
didnt seem apologetic at all. Well sometimes vice versa but in my case, it's
usually totally unintentional and I always feel so darn guilty about it
afterwards...even if I couldn't have done anything about it anyway.

mistake. see, for some reason, I got lost in translation and thought that aozora
meant blue=_="". apparently it does not. And it was rather obvious.
aoi = blue . sora = sky. aozora = blue sky/skies . so my username ended up
meaning ... blue skies skies . Or Skies of the Blue Skies. Sheesh. never mind it
sounds like a riddle anyway. and it IS gong to be my username for a long while.

I savoured the different styles and uses of media I saw and hoped I could one day achieve that standard. My latest wallpaper is somewhat inspired by a storybook illustration I got ages ago from Ribs. It was a book about the pioneer years of America and the pony express was still being used...wonderful oils were used and scenes were painted out beautifully and with such lovely textures...because of that, subconsciously I made the sky in my wall so. But I only realised after it was all done.
Well, I hope to meet new (but not too dangerous :P) people. Age isn't a problem to me, I should think. In fact, in real life I sometimes get along better with my juniors and older (but nice ones only) teachers. Still, I have good relationships with everyone overall...except a few that got me into trouble and didnt seem apologetic at all. Well sometimes vice versa but in my case, it's usually totally unintentional and I always feel so darn guilty about it afterwards...even if I couldn't have done anything about it anyway.

oh yes, thought I should mention this. My username was actually a kind of mistake. see, for some reason, I got lost in translation and thought that aozora meant blue=_="". apparently it does not. And it was rather obvious. aoi = blue . sora = sky. aozora = blue sky/skies . so my username ended up meaning ... blue skies skies . Or Skies of the Blue Skies. Sheesh. never mind it sounds like a riddle anyway. and it IS gong to be my username for a long while.
