Hey there! When I saw this in the gallery the first time, I just knew it had to
be yours.. I would have commented right then but you know.. I didn't have time.
Anyway, I'm surprised that no one has commented yet!
Nice to see Enma so happy. ^.^ As usual, good vector, and nice work with the
sky. Though the mountains were a little too contrasting with it.. Lighting is a
bit contrasting too.. I think it would make more sense if there was warmer
lighting on Enma.. But it's still a really happy wall, such a refreshing one
compared to the usually solemn ones..
I prefer the one with texture; the other feels a bit too smooth. Like the
lineart and the pattern on Sentaro's robe. The two just look so sweet... Aww..
Loving the simplicity yet rather detailed look of this doujinshi! It really does
look like it came out from a young boy's imagination, what with the colourful
streamers and beads, the blockish, collage-like street and yup, that awesome,
checkered Magician's hat! ^.^
There is such a soulfulness and innocence in his expression and eyes.. Something
about this reminds me of D Gray Man's Allen.. I think that it is because of his
pose. And the pentacle (albeit on a different side). And I think I have seen a
manga page with the houses like that.. Well, I I am currently a fan of D Gray
Man and besides, even if I wasn't, I would still fall in love with this art
simply because it is so good.
I like the abstract details like the sheafs of papers that make it look like his
body is metamorphosing into.. and the crumpling parchment as well as those lines
that make me think of music bars for some reason. Oh
and how the clocks dangling from his hat, show different times. Could it be to
show that when you are reading your favourite books, totally engrossed, time is
of no real relevance? Or am I over-analysing again.. I think I am..
Wonderful lineart (love his hand! ^_^ ) and textures, creative concept, great
mood-setting... Yes, this deserves its highlight! And my fave!

Oh and forgot to say, that the perspective is absolutely cool, with the
diminishing, windy road, and the roundish, stretched look of the buildings, and
the cards fanning out around the prodigy! Okay, that's it, I think! Thanks for
sharing your lovely work!
One look and we know that it's yours. Absolutely flawless! This is my favourite
among your pieces, maybe among all of MT's doujinshi! Love the colour scheme,
with the peachy tones somehow blending well with the sea greens. And as always,
I'm amazed by how the cloth has so much volume to it. It looks almost like
high-class fashion, if you get what I mean, with that elaborate headdress and
the dress of leaves, lace, feather-like silk and jewels, all kind of exhuming a
theme of nature. And the gleaming, jewelled butterflies.. Sugoi! The background
design is wonderful, with weaving, curvy patterns, lacy grilles, crystalline
'windows' and those curly 'clouds' that add an oriental touch amid all that
style that is reminiscent of the old Italian ages when Art reigned, especially
the murals.. There is indeed a melancholy expression on her face.. I wonder what
she is so sad about when she has such richness around her?
I wonder if you had to use a lot of masking fluid in this.. And
gouache? I just read a more in-depth book about watercolour and I realise that
the classes I went to didn't quite teach me of all there is to know about it..
Anyway, beautiful piece! A fave is in order..
I hope this gets highlighted. It would definitely deserve it.
I would like to see this scan in its full glory too.. but it seems like there's
a problem when I click the download option. Ah well, I can see the enlarged
version. ^.^ Like the other one, this is gorgeous! Road's never looked so
pretty.. and I love the pattern. I can see that she's clutching roses.. wonder
what it all represents.. Clearly this is part of the same story as the other
scan. Once again, thanks for sharing!
Wow. This scan is beautiful! Love the colours and details.. Makes me wonder what
is going to happen between Tyki and Miranda..I just started watching D Gray
Man..so forgive me if it's actually pretty obvious.. Thank you for sharing this
lovely scan!
This definitely stands out. 0.0 Love the creepy atmosphere! I like how you
didn't hold back with drawing the scary, gory bits like Road's face... I haven't
seen Tyki looked like that.. but I'm only up to episode 27 after all. And yes,
gosh, the dots! I love how they create unique textures and lighting! And that
deep black.. I'm curious, do you use the pen to draw all the black in or can you
sort of spread it like paint or something? If it's the former... gosh, that must
be hard work. Thanks for telling us that it's bottled ink.. this might sound
dumb but I had been wondering what medium have people exactly been using to make
art like this.. I was actually wondering what brand of pen they used..
Well, despite the darkness, your piece shines with creativity! I wouldn't want
to ride on that roller coaster for sure . Definite fave! I wonder if it would get highlighted...
Haha, not too long ago, I was saying to a friend that you would probably do this
titanic idea.. either that or a RXJ convert to Zorro thing. Guess I was right..
I love how clean the Cagalli-and-Athrun vector is! It's great how you got it all
from various scans, shows how resourceful you are. The
water is nicely done with all those strips... My only complain is that the light
feels a little too brown... it seems to make the rail flatter too.. I mean, the
two lovers are in a different light from their background... then again, I seem
to be the only one who is picky about that...
Maybe the rail could be a lighter shade and have a wood grain texture or
something? Just a suggestion...
So peaceful....that's what I thought when I looked at it. I love how the water
stretches out, reflecting the azure skies... hey it's aozora! :P OK, ok.. you
seem to have a trademark in painting clouds. I like how it seems to be one of
those windy days where one just feels like stretching out their hands and
letting the wind just gush over them.. Makes me wish for one of those windy days
again with the sharp smell of salt, sand and seaweed and the sound of waves
crashing.. I need to get away to the beach one of these days... It does seem a
bit odd that there are no ripples around Hisoka's feet. But I have my own
interpretation for that:
Hisoka is an empath. He senses the feelings around him and can be greatly
affected by strong emotions, so much that he seems to mentally enter a dimension
where one's deepest fears and memories reign.. So if he is seeing a scene of
sun-basked water and sky, stretching out, speaking of countless possibilities
and hopeful happiness and peace.. then I'm really glad for him. He has found
harmony within himself ... or perhaps with someone else. *hint hint*
Just as a side note, I just recently finished watching Yami no Matsue. While
there are some flaws and inconsistencies, there is something in it that kept me
watching. No, I don't mean the yaoi part. I'm
actually not a big fan of yaoi.. shounen-ai, maybe since that's where you can
get some pretty funny jokes..
Ah... just looking at your wall makes me feel a lot more positive. I wish Hisoka
all the best.. and you too, Gaby!
And I was just thinking that there were barely any art for the other characters
of Vampire Knight. Yay! I love your gorgeous yet simple vector of Shiki. The
gradient you used in this version fits it perfectly! The sakura is nicely done
too and I like the splatter of blood on the right sakuras.. how did you do it? I
don't know how to place the splatter just so..was it vectored? IMO, though, the
blood running down looks a little odd.. But it's a dark, bloody wall so what can
we expect? I still really like it anyway. Starry night and a full moon, which
glow is subdued by the gleaming eyes of Shiki... I love the concept. Maybe the
sky could do with a faint wisp of cloud so that it doesn't look like it's
practically in space? I mean, I don't mind, I think it gives an unearthly feel.
But you know, to make it more natural..
Hey I saw this on your AP account didn't I? Nice... What attracts me to it is
the summery lighting shining through the sakura..which is really well-painted,
in my opinion. I'm glad you didn't vector those too. ^.^ I like how the ground
slopes, like a bowl, as if to signify something like continuity. The scene is
really peaceful.. I like how fluid you have made the shine on their hair and
robes.. I notice that there is a break in between the two sakura trees so I
suppose that is to signify the differences between the two 'Kenshins'. Hmm... I
know you say that the doubles and the significance of the scar is to show how
the future version has accepted his past... but, I don't know, both of them look
so peaceful and serene... ah well, I still love this wall! I will definitely
fave!
Love the colours, the smooth lines, the poses... I can flip this any angle and
it still looks great! ^.^ I just recently started to watch Nabari No Ou and I am
quite pleasantly surprised! Yes, the art does look like it lends itself well for
vectoring.. and you've just shown that it does! Yoite and Miharu look gorgeous
here.. Yes, the green is just the right shade! Those words behind are from the
scroll of Miharu's hijutsu or something like that right? Did you have to use a
manga page or something to do that? *curious* I am awed...
Urm..it's "Kyou Kara Maou", or "God(?) Save our King!" .
Funny that you scanned it in without knowing what manga it was from.. But then,
it is a lovely scan. ^.^ Thanks for sharing!
I'm not a fan of Aa! Megami-Sama. But I quite liked this scan! The winds are
beautiful and their hair curls so perfectly... the rippling water is an
eye-catcher too. Thanks for sharing!
Yet another lovely piece of art from you! Love the softness of colours in this
picture. The yellow contrasts nicely with the dark layers of sleeves under her
robe and I can see that you took the time to add in some intricate details..
Wonderful colouring and drawing of Shuurei's headdress! Your trademark in
colouring shinnering hair is definitely noticed.. And I kind of like the
textured background..so did you have to extract Shurrei to apply the texture on
the background or did you just use a pattern stamp? Or a brush? Just curious..
I would love to see a vector of this too! Well, I would do it myself, but I take
too long.. maybe when I'm really really free. ^.^ The petals alone might kill
though.. and the lace.. here's something odd; when I press the thunb, I get a
bigger pic than when I click download... hmm. Malfunctioning? Well, thanks for
sharing this gorgeous picture!
Hey Lunariha! Ooh another Code Geass chara's vector.. Well, while I love the
colours, yes, like temarigenius says, her outlines are too thick, and at some
points, though not that obvious, a little, just a little ...jagged.
I think that it would have looked better if the bg wasn't so light looking as
compared to her..
Follow Kitten's advice and shade the windmills and fix the clouds. The top
center cloud looks okay but the rest are odd.. Sky could use a bit of gradient?
And sime tree tops so it doesn't feel like she's hanging?
How about something scattering to give a feel of wind? I mean, like petals or
leaves... then again, your clouds will have to match.. I recommend some long
strips of windy clouds. And maybe some sunlight.. you can find tutorials for
rays at paint-o-rama, try the moonlight one by Maplerose, though of course, with
a slightly warmer colour..
I like the bars' design, but they do look a little flat.. If you could give them
a sort of gilt look that would be cool! ^.^
Well, hope this helps!
See ya! And oh yeah, this is really late, Happy Birthday! I said this at RFL but
I don't think you read it..
The clouds drift into wisps, like whimsical tendrils of silky smoke...creating
an atmosphere of serenity.. Two hands touched, but will they remain clasped?
Their wish hovers between them; together forever. curved lines like strings
gently entangled, give the two form; their silhouettes were tender poses, yet
one almost felt that like sand structures, they may disintegrate and shift with
the gasp of a wind.. Rustic shadows shade, and the locks of the couple's hair
gleamed.. like black bubbles from sea froth, circles float..I hope that they are
not the sign of a coming tide to wash them away.
Well, I haven't felt like doing this in a while; being poetic. Thanks gabychan,
for waking it up! Actually, when I saw this and how wonderful it has been
described, I was going to write something like 'the mods say it all
already" But then, I got a slight competitive streak and decided to make my
own statement.
Yes, it is beautiful. ANd I certainly overdid my analysis.. well, would you mind
fixing the links? We can't seem to get through... Otherwise, Great Job! I want
to see more! In fact, I'll watchlist you, if you don't mind.
Well, this isn't bad at all! ^.^ Did you extract them? In that case, good job!
One problem though. A very slight problem, do not worry. The building behind
Hagi towards the left? It kinda blended with the night sky. But
it's all right, really.
To selemental (Though I personally know that she is really unavailable now and
probably won't read this anyway..) :
Of course, it's England! No where in Paris would the road signs be so
considerately in English! Haha
Erm...I hope it's my server problem and not your mistake that's making me see
this: you've placed a Code Geass wallpaper into a GENERAL wallpaper category.
And it's not even quite wallpaper size...to see the appropriate sizes see here.
http://support.minitokyo.net/policy/
Also... I think moderators demand more from a wallpaper. Like a background of
some sort and not just using some photoshop tricks like a gradient and double
images..
Sorry if this is harsh; but I think you had better do something quick before a
mod notices. It would be a pity if it gets deleted or something.. Please! I
think you could refer to this page for help if you want suggestions for making
art on MInitokyo..here. http://forum.minitokyo.net/25/sandbox/
Wow...this is beautiful. I like the lines, just the right sort of thickness..and
the lilies match the background well. I quite love the smoke too. It's actually
kind of nicer that way, so don't worry about it.
Details are gorgeous too. Wonder what she's thinking of, smiling (smirking?)
like that... Great job!
Yay! You've finally finished it! I really love the abundance of patterns used
here. And the amazing thing is that most of them were vectored! Colours are also
brighter than the scan's which is good since you did change the lighting a lot.
Emma's room has spotlights, lol...nice job with gradients as usual. And of
course, Emma was vectored wonderfully! You can't notice the hand size thingy
when it's all done anyway. I love the butterflies pattern and those glossy,
water-like patterns on the cloth on top of it. You redesigned that dark brown
cloth well; I find the skeletons creepier than the spider anyway. Haha.
Oh I cannot really bear to do this part; nitpicking. But it's good for you and
me... all right, the whole wall is wonderful! However, what could be fixed are
these: shadows. The fans lack shading, though the patterns are just great. I
suggest a slight gradient? and some hint of shadow at the folds? Same for those
curving strips..And that fold at the bottom right of the wall looks just a
little bit too solid. But I know that's how it looked in the scan so I don't
blame you... I have my own idea about the lighting for the fabrics on the left;
however, I suspect that it's my own style and that it won't quite blend with the
cleanness of yours..
Aww, poor kashikosa! That's too bad... but it can't be helped...Scott's already
submitted it..
This may surprise you but this wall was inspiring! ^.^ I was stuck with the
ending of a story for a competition that I hadn't been taking seriously until
the teacher told me that she would submit it IF I edited it. Well, it's hard to
get this teacher to accept my essays and stuff (I already 'lost' 2 big cash
prizes because of that...) so I grasp my chances when I can...and I wasn't going
to send in a low effort story. So there I was, thinking on how to end it without
it looking too rushed but not too wishy-washy...then I came on to Minitokyo, saw
your wall finally in the Popular section, fullviewed and voila! inspired to
write...that's what really good walls do to me..so this is a really good
compliment! Haha.
Doujinshi seems to be gaining an edge now...we have you with your powerful,
skilfully done work, the sort that tells a story without words; then we have
people like YuliaPamela who make these soft, almost innocent pictures that
somehow grab our attention. Then, we always have artists like skye and rythem,
as well as vector master turned painter, abul. And there are the other doujinshi
lovers who constantly submit their sketches...I would join in but not having a
scanner or tablet is a definite disadvantage..
Okay, back to the REAL topic; your picture. The red is striking! You can't quite
tear your eyes away from her.. The hair is lusciously curled, her lips a
confident pout, and her eyes are gorgeous! Sketchy lines work for your picture
and your background is unique! Really like this, Ki-sempai! Your paintwork is
fascinating to look at..
Hey there! When I saw this in the gallery the first time, I just knew it had to be yours.. I would have commented right then but you know.. I didn't have time. Anyway, I'm surprised that no one has commented yet!

Sorry if this is harsh; but I think you had better do something quick before a mod notices. It would be a pity if it gets deleted or something.. Please! I think you could refer to this page for help if you want suggestions for making art on MInitokyo..here. http://forum.minitokyo.net/25/sandbox/
Hope you read this and it helps!
Wow...this is beautiful. I like the lines, just the right sort of thickness..and the lilies match the background well. I quite love the smoke too. It's actually kind of nicer that way, so don't worry about it.
Details are gorgeous too. Wonder what she's thinking of, smiling (smirking?)
like that... Great job!
Yay! You've finally finished it! I really love the abundance of patterns used here. And the amazing thing is that most of them were vectored! Colours are also brighter than the scan's which is good since you did change the lighting a lot. Emma's room has spotlights, lol...nice job with gradients as usual. And of course, Emma was vectored wonderfully! You can't notice the hand size thingy when it's all done anyway. I love the butterflies pattern and those glossy, water-like patterns on the cloth on top of it. You redesigned that dark brown cloth well; I find the skeletons creepier than the spider anyway. Haha.
Oh I cannot really bear to do this part; nitpicking. But it's good for you and me... all right, the whole wall is wonderful! However, what could be fixed are these: shadows. The fans lack shading, though the patterns are just great. I suggest a slight gradient? and some hint of shadow at the folds? Same for those curving strips..And that fold at the bottom right of the wall looks just a little bit too solid. But I know that's how it looked in the scan so I don't blame you... I have my own idea about the lighting for the fabrics on the left; however, I suspect that it's my own style and that it won't quite blend with the cleanness of yours..
Aww, poor kashikosa! That's too bad... but it can't be helped...Scott's already submitted it..
This may surprise you but this wall was inspiring! ^.^ I was stuck with the ending of a story for a competition that I hadn't been taking seriously until the teacher told me that she would submit it IF I edited it. Well, it's hard to get this teacher to accept my essays and stuff (I already 'lost' 2 big cash prizes because of that...) so I grasp my chances when I can...and I wasn't going to send in a low effort story. So there I was, thinking on how to end it without it looking too rushed but not too wishy-washy...then I came on to Minitokyo, saw your wall finally in the Popular section, fullviewed and voila! inspired to write...that's what really good walls do to me..so this is a really good compliment!
Haha.
Well, see you!
Doujinshi seems to be gaining an edge now...we have you with your powerful, skilfully done work, the sort that tells a story without words; then we have people like YuliaPamela who make these soft, almost innocent pictures that somehow grab our attention. Then, we always have artists like skye and rythem, as well as vector master turned painter, abul. And there are the other doujinshi lovers who constantly submit their sketches...I would join in but not having a scanner or tablet is a definite disadvantage..
Okay, back to the REAL topic; your picture. The red is striking! You can't quite tear your eyes away from her.. The hair is lusciously curled, her lips a confident pout, and her eyes are gorgeous! Sketchy lines work for your picture and your background is unique! Really like this, Ki-sempai! Your paintwork is fascinating to look at..
