Gun X Sword was kind of fun in its own way.. I had to laugh at both the jap
voices and dubs though. The dubs for Van and Wendy were quite okay (Van's dub
actually sounded younger and more like his age and..jerkness) but the side
charas.. eh. Especially Comrade's. Not that his real voice was much better. A
friend was walking past when I was watching it and she had a real laugh when ahe
heard him say, "ka-wa-ii" .LOL I guess yours was uncensored? Mine was
censored here and there.

Hmm, you mean an adventure/action/mystery sort? Well... I hear Claymore is good.
It's about this girl who is a claymore, sort of a half monster whose duty is to
kill the real monsters, or something like that.. well, from what I heard, it's
supposed to be really thrilling and lots of gory action. Whee~ Other stuff I
like are D Gray Man, and Samurai Champloo. You could take a look at Samurai 7,
if you like, for some cool swordplay action, as well as a somewhat gripping
plot. You can search for videos of Samurai Champloo and D Gray Man on Veoh,
since you are in New York. America hasn't been blocked..Unlike most of Asia,
Africe, East Europe and South America! Gah!

haha. Summary: Fuu works in a restaurant until she accidentally irritates some
thugs. She is 'rescued' by Mugen...for an odd price. Mugen kicks the thugs'
a**es but makes an even worse ruckus. Enter Jin and a fight begins.
Unfortunately circumstances are not meant to be and they are interrupted and
sent to execution. One thing leads to another and they end up tagging Fuu to
look for a specific someone.. very much a reluctant trio.
First character : Fuu. A 15 year old girl with a hardworking but stubborn
streak, working as a waitress, Fuu might come off as your typical 'pretty face'
shoujo; but nope. Along with the other two main characters, she is not to be
underestimated! Possibly useless in fighting, she is still formidable as this
girl stores a dash of cunning, much determination and... an unbelievable
appetite! Pics:
Second chara: Mugen. Comes off as surly, selfish, and stubborn. And sticks to
it. Haha. No worries, there IS character development. But without this
character, the show wouldn't be so darn funny. Mugen is a wandering samurai who
fights for ...food. Talk about motivated.. His skills as a fighter are awesome though. Not only is he handy with his
sword (erm, that sounded weird), his fighting style has been compared to a
mixture of breakdance+martial arts+capoeira . There aren't many good pics of him
out there... He's the type that looks better in action, with his shifting
expressions, and rapid acrobatics. So if you wanna know him... watch him!
Third chara : Jin. *blush* It's hard not to fall for him after I watched the
last few episodes, forgive me. At first, one would think that he is the typical
stereotype for the 'cool guy'. Dark locks, mysterious, attractive demeanor...
but in the end, flat.. however, thankfully, that's not all there is to him! This
samurai possesses deadly skills yet he too is a wanderer, hiring himself out.
Stoic and calm as he is, he too has his dark secret. It isn't too obvious,
luckily. But man, he looked so good in the last few episodes..
Mugen and him hold a grudge against each other because both are equal in a fight
... a fight that was not resolved due to interference... and they sure don't
like each other..
All in all, Samurai Champloo proves to be thrilling despite its somewhat
episodic style. With its disregard for real, down-to-earth facts, it pokes fun
at some issues, providing a humorous watch that is comparable to that of
Ouran... and somehow, it makes me more aware of Japan's historical and political
issues..
I definitely recommend it to those who can keep an open mind and want a good mix
of laughs, action, mind stimulation and..hey, maybe even some love. Oh and I
loved their ending theme "Shiki no Uta".

thank you again for your compliment, really appreciate it when hearing that my
works are unique when done traditionally and the ideas are coming crealy out. i
think thought that some highly professional people with doing digital media
could easily create artwork like mine. but still i think it doesn't feel the
same as doing traditionally ~ somehow for me it just seems more challenging and
that it's giving you more in the end since while you do it, if there comes
mistake, you can't erase it just like that like when doing digitally.
the ink is made in germany so i guess it's sold internationally, not sure though
but just guessing. but you are welcome, hope you are able to find it and try it
out :3

worry about it, i don't mind at all of geting comments on my old drawings ~ it's
actually really nice to get comments on them too and it's not embarassing at all
of commenting them ! especially since for the viewer who haven't seen them
before, they are new to their eyes so it's really grateful to get comments on
them as well as on the newer ones. anyway ~ i haven't actually drawn lavi yet,
might be fun to try sometimes !
any other medium than ink ? yes i do, mostly normal propelling pencil and then
black markers if doing just lining. but if i colour the drawings, then i
nowadays use mainly copic markers ~ but i enjoy still using watercolours and
coloured pencils too which i used to use before geting copic markers.
aaw, i wish you are able to get scanner someday ~ it would be nice to see your
drawings ! just came to my mind that could you have a change to scan your
drawings at school maybe ?

Hi! I have to apologise, I only found time to reply now.. sorry! My mailbox had
became rather full and I had schoolwork..
That all sounds rather interesting! I would love to try inking out soon but some
stuff came up so.. I might not be able to do that anytime soon.. But, hey! The
watercolour brush I got is size 2! Now, I don't have to search for that.. And
Pelikan turned out to be the same brand a friend of mine uses at the office. So
maybe I could ask my friend to get it for me..
Don't worry! I was just looking at it through Photoshop, because I wanted to
refresh my memory on how it looked. I would never doodle any artists' pieces, at
least not with their permission! I admit I like turning them around, into new
angles sometimes though..
I get what you mean about doing it traditionally.. It feels great when we get it
done after spending so much time and effort on it, then can display it proudly.
And, yeah, there's no CTRL + Z in art, let alone in life.. I remember some
pictures that screw up because I peskily decided the proportion looked wrong,
rubbed something off then find that I couldn't get it back.. the
horror..
After I drew Lavi in my first DGM fanart, it felt hard to draw him again.. But
then I just felt the urge to draw him, during class, so I got out paper, and
just let my hand go! Well, it looks more like the doujin style.. but I like how
it turned out. It's not complete, not satisfied with the legs' pose, and no
background yet.. but the face will absolutely remain! I will NOT ever rub it
off.. Just hope that after my hiatus, I still will be able to draw it..
Looks like you really are talented, Zefie! I mainly use pencils for fanart,
though I have ONE that I used a nomal black pen for (and it turned out not bad,
surprise surprise) and I have learned watercolours, poster colours and acrylic
before..
No, no scanner at school either. No sign of my friend rushing to scan the ones I

Cool, you're fast.. I'm having trouble just finding some speedy, and subbed
episodes as it is..
My project.. well, it might have to go on hiatus due to some er..personal
stuff..which I can't go into detail since it involves other people who would
rather I keep their anonymity intact.. Anyway, it started off with an idea, to
have two people positioned around a gate, at different sides, and contrasting
styles. There was supposed to be just a girl wearing white standing on the
right, and a black-clad boy posing well, feral-like on the left, in the upper
corner. And the positions did remind me of yin and yang, only the colours and
positions were swapped.. I was going to make the gate sort of ethereal, with
timepieces, clockwork, that sort of thing. I've never done that though so it was
going to be an experiment. ^.^
But then, after I had done the sketch for the girl, complete with white Gothic
Lolita dress and some decidedly laverrine-inspired curvy designs, the canvas
started to feel a tad... too small. I tried to draw another character, because I
realise that it might feel more significant if there was someone to turn the
clock's key or something. And discovered that the perspective of the whole
picture just wouldn't suit it. There needed to be more space! Since I wasn't too
sure, I just concentrated on giving what I had already drawn, more details..
In the end, an idea grew, and now, I'm planning for a picture that will stretch
out over 4 A4 papers. The
best thing is that at least two panels look like they are telling a story of
their own. The idea is to have these guardians, all whom are sort of symbols,
still around the gate(only it's bigger and maybe, more elaborate. Oh and with
steps since the perspective looks better then), and well lots of patterns. I
made the girl Feminism, since I'm out of ideas on what to do with her. And it
still means Yin, anyway.. And I've drawn Luck, though he looks a little like a
magician or trickster, complete with cards and top hat. ^_^ Well, cards are a
game of luck..sometimes. And integrated the clover, spade, ace, diamond and
hearts into the patterns near him. I have this tendency to, when in doubt, draw
fabrics! So there's now three sheets all over the place. And the
pattern styles are going a bit sparse; there's art noveau, Celtic (inspired by
the cover of Diana's Wynne Jones' book, Magician's Conspiracy) and Oriental. Oh
well, it looks good to me.
I only hope that when I finally have time to get back to it, I would still be
able to draw the other characters.. Not to mention all the architecture..
Other planned charas are Fate, Death, Justice, KeyMaster and Music(though, for
some reason, they're twins). So what do you think? It's definitely harder than
my usual..
Oh and I started drawing Lavi again. Just got the urge during a particularly
boring History class with the teacher throwing glares at the guys sitting around
me.. No, they're not sitting there because they want to; I just had the
misfortune to end up siting amid way too many guys..
I might not be able to be as active as I want. But I appreciate that you're

Haha, yeah..just a typo. Emo/scene is hair that is usually black with any other colors placed in
splotches in the bangs or sideburns or some in the back (like bleach blonde or
light brown...could be other colors but that looks more goth/punk...and
that's........). Or just solid pitch black. And like you mentioned covers an
eye. I use enough hairspray to keep my bangs pushed to the side. That is what
you need then...if you want to keep your bangs out...a big aerosol can of
hairspray. Sure is isn't good for the environment but it is so much better than
the squirt bottle kind.... Haha, sorry, I could go on all day about hair. I'm
not a fag either. Scene kids just like fashion...well scene fashion...

Well that one band I linked was a Malaysian old-school hardcore band. Most
hardcore bands that aren't American tend to sing in English since the songs are
usually about hardcore beliefs (like respect for family, brotherhood/sisterhood,
living drug-free, and vegetarianism). But, I don't think I've heard too many
Malaysian heavy metal bands, so maybe we will still see eye to eye on that.

Yeah, I was suprised how cool that ArtRage program is. I watched a few
speed-painting videos on youtube and I actually picked up some techniques...The
palette knife is key to just about everything it seems.
This is kind of random but the word "scanner" made me think of this
question...Do you remember how big the scanning part of your scanner was? The
one we have is a few inches or so bigger than an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. I see
some people scan such large either magazine pages or drawings....

others. Yesterday, my mom and I were driving home from the store and we were
stopped behind some cars waiting for a car to turn ahead and this car hit us
from behind (because they weren't paying attention or something). My mom and the
lady who hit us were talking and exchanging information (since the lady's car's
front was smashed in...luckily we have a big SUV and didn't get any damage
) and some guy driving by yelled out the window, "Get out of the
road!" It's like wow, asshole. Show a little common decency. Oh well, lots
of bastards out there, I guess you just have to learn to live with
them...

Oh yes, the palette tool for Artrage; nifty thing that is. It's almost like the
smudge tool in Photoshop, only more realistic. It's nicer to use if there are
layers though.. back then, I didn't have the layers option so it was messy.. So
you're learning to paint too?

track and a task, in this case to plant (shove or carry, actually) some erm..
bits and odds, into squares on the track. So speed and efficiency matter. I was
in charge of programming which felt like Photoshopping to me, for some reason..
Had to change the speeds and times in the last minute because it turned out that
the initial speed was too fast and we kept losing grip of the 'plant'. *rolls
eyes* They kept emphasising on speed and lookie.. Oh and we use LEGO Mindstorms

manga page with the houses like that.. Well, I I am currently a fan of D Gray
Man and besides, even if I wasn't, I would still fall in love with this art
simply because it is so good.
I like the abstract details like the sheafs of papers that make it look like his
body is metamorphosing into.. and the crumpling parchment as well as those lines
that make me think of music bars for some reason. Oh
and how the clocks dangling from his hat, show different times. Could it be to
show that when you are reading your favourite books, totally engrossed, time is
of no real relevance? Or am I over-analysing again.. I think I am..
Wonderful lineart (love his hand! ^_^ ) and textures, creative concept, great
mood-setting... Yes, this deserves its highlight! And my fave!

diminishing, windy road, and the roundish, stretched look of the buildings, and

I'm impressed how you've been able to analyze my art, even down to the very last
detail. You've been able to dig up where my inspiration came from, which many
people can never do. You are indeed correct, the character does resemble Allen
somewhat. I was on a D Gray Man marathon (all day watching the anime lol=no
life) while working on this piece. I had intended to draw a D Gray Man fanart,
but changed my mind after I came up with the new concept of a magician. The
buildings where somewhat inspired by D Gray Man, but a majority of them where
also used in a previous drawing of mine, Everett.
The clocks are an important factor and I'm glad you didn't overlook them in your
analysis. You are close in your analysis but there's a bit more detail. There
are 2 clocks - One represents time in the real world and the other represents
time when he's set up the trick. And because time seems to move faster when we
are having fun, one clock is set during is trick to move time slower, while the
other is real world time. (So there is more time to play with his books, without
wasting real world time) I hope that made sense This concept of clocks is also inspired by D Grey Mans character, Miranda.

Actually, I've done a D Gray Man fanart too! Only.. no scanner..and my 'pal'
hasn't got round to scanning my drawings for a few weeks already.. Ah well, I

might involve 4 A4 papers and some merging with Photoshop.. I'll tell you more

Yeah more paper action! I mostly like the music in Read or Die and nice voice
actors (though it's the dubbed version) I haven't seen the Read or Die (OAV)

I'll make you watch another anime! Nabari no Ou isn't like other ninja anime,
it's set in modern times for one thing and they're trying to make it not centric
around all the ever-so-awesome-and-big ninja techniques.. (I'm being sarcastic,
just so you know) . Nabari no Ou is kinda intriguing... I get the feeling that
not everyone is telling the whole truth.. so there's lots more to find out as it
goes along.. and me love the art! The chara designs are so clean..

Well, if you are going for dark, I'm thinking blood splatter on their skin and
the ground.. Maybe some branches(leaves or sakura, up to you), you know, like
really dark silhouettes against the background..nice if you can get red strings
sort of hanging, web-like on the branches...best from a perspective that shows
the floor too. I suppose since Kain controls fire.. some flames might do. If you
want pretty... take away the blood and make it all brighter. And maybe some
snow..

I skipped episode 50of D Gray Man. Watched Spanish subs for 51, 52, 55, 56. Not
good since I have very little idea on what they were talking about. Had to very
roughly translate the subs and listen to the Japanese.. Found an English version
of 54, thankfully. And ended up reading the subs from a website that hosts
screenshots LOL. Well, they also had the downloads but they don't work on my
computer.. Allen! Poor him! I know that he will survive but still.. T.T . Trust
the subs to kill the mood..
Ended up watching the omake videos. Very funny! I've also been reading a lot of
fanfic.. I don't quite support all those LavixAllen, Yullen thingies, but I find
some rather hilarious. Like how Komui finding the Internet has Lavi blackmailing
poor Allen into a AreKan.. "AreKan? Is that the name of some evil
overlord?" "Take a good look." *Allen stares*

About those colors, I think as long as the colors are recognizable web-based
HTML colors, they should work. Here is a good site that has
actual names of colors. Who knows, maybe you might want your page to be

like cornsky blue (or something..all I remember was it had corn in it

I remember that the CS3 didn't work. I know what the problem was though. I tried
only sending the installer.exe and the crack. But I guess you need everything,
which makes sense... I will try uploading it on MegaUpload. Do you have WinRar
or 7z? I will probably have to split the entire file into smaller archives
because of MegaUpload's upload size requirements. So if you have either of those
let me know so I can save the files accordingly. Oh
yeah, I remember saying something about having ArtRage before? Do you still have

crack and it's a really good program.

One is a fanart for my new favourite, D Gray Man; one's my first real drawing

Oh I had a robotics competition on Tuesday. Didn't win but learned quite a bit.
Surprisingly the rural schools did quite well. One of the city schools had an
appalling attitude though. They sent one boy out to put the robot on the track,
then when he got nervous, instead of being encouraging, his teammate was calling
the competition crap and all that from the sidelines. That guy didn't even stay
around for his partner after he finished. How helpful is that?! They didn't win
either..
Still, I am trying to vector some stuff now.. see how it goes..
I think I've heard of Nabari no Ou, is it really good? Also what type of anime
you like? mine would be Mecha, and military anime.

mafia organization that uses undead monsters controlled by his old friend Harry

Actually, I did a little review for Nabari no Ou in Rainfalling Love before..
. Well, what I like about Nabari no Ou is that their main
character, Miharu is such an enigma! He acts so indifferent sometimes yet has a
slightly devilish side.. he doesn't mind at all to use his 'charms' to get his
way.. >:-> Haha. But despite his apathy, it turns out that he does care..
he just doesn't want to show it.. He's kind of lovable, but in an unusual way..
Well, you just have to watch their first episode to get it! I think I might
recommend this..
What type of anime I like? Well, hmm... er.. no specific type really.. I just
know I can't stand anime with an overload of ecchi and not-at-all funny
'humour'. I didn't like Magikano at all other than maybe, its first episode and
the one about the play.. But what I really love are anime that can keep a sense
of mystery, some action, actual intelligence, and still be hilarious. Samurai
Champloo was awesome, in that sense. Except for episode 22 with the weird crack
about aliens and the nuclear mushroom cloud. Seriously off tangent, that was..
Of course, it's also nice to watch anime with good art. Like the only Gonzo
production that got it right; Gankutsuou. ^.^ As for mecha.. only if the mecha
is actually high quality. I mean, it's no fun to watch sluggish, crude robots
bashing at each other anymore, is it?
I've watched Read Or Die too! I wish there was a bit more development though..
and I want to see more Paper action! :P
Gungrave sounds almost American..is it? Oh, I don't usually watch the
too-long-winded sort of anime.. main reason I stay off Bleach and Naruto. Can't
afford to keep chasing after the episodes; it's hard enough looking for D Gray
Man. Heck, I have to watch Spanish subs now. *Straining my ears to pick up all

majorly the drawing nip but when comes large area of the black just like road's
hair, then i use the brush. that way the big area comes more smoothly and
faster. you are welcome, i think it's good to tell what kind of techniques you
use if somebody else wants to try too. i'm not really good at making drawings
digitally, actually just learning it, so i use traditional media. i think people
who are good at doing digital, would create this kind of drawing with photoshop
or some other drawing program with pc. the ink i use to this piece (and other
ink drawing i have done before) is Pelikan Tusche A Drawing Ink, Schwarz - Black
and the number is 17.

suppose I meant Road's hair.. So you did use a brush! That
clears things up! I was wondering how you made it so smooth because I couldn't
see any of the scratchiness that comes with pen lines. Now that I'm looking at
your picture through my Photoshop, I can see the brush strokes.. Hmm, I think I
have just the right brush for that.. though I really should be using that for my
watercolours..
Yes, I would love to know the techniques some people use for their awesome art.
It's nice to try it out ourselves, feels like an accomplishment when we managed
to get it right.. I don't know if anyone else could make a doujinshi quite like
yours, through Photoshop.. one of the reasons yours is unique is that we can see
that it is traditionally inked and your own ideaas well.

Do you use any other medium other than ink? I mainly use pencils since I draw
better at school.. It isn't exactly convenient to watercolour or use markers

Basically, an oriental garden. ^.^ If not, A black background and some sakura
branches and red ribbons would be nice. A bit cliche..but if you want something

I haven't submitted any vectors yet.. but I used my meagre extraction and

I still think the wings looked a little lame..and I don't think the guy who

couldn't find a proper scan of him so I'm just piecing together manga pages that
have him in them.. I thinking of changing it into a doujinshi or wall, because

Albino is a person who is born with white skin and hair, and usually, red eyes.
This is because they were not born with the proper colour pigment genes like us.
Their skin can be kinda sensitive to heat and light..and it is pretty blinding
to see white skin in bright sunlight. It's not a very favourable
condition..however, it does not make them freaks at all..Inside, they're the
same as all of us..
Well, censorship seems to be a big deal in China.. I guess Veoh got on their
wrong side or something. Still, now that Veoh's blocked 40++ countries, a lot of
them being Asian, Latino and Eastern European, lots of users are crying foul in
the forums..and proxies have never seen better business, methinks. They don't
really work for me.. the video still doesn't load even though I got onto the
site.
Well, Crunchyroll has subs for Nabari no Ou now, but I don't know if they are
the group you want to see.. they use soft subtitles though, so we can switch
them off and on.

Right now, my favourite anime are Samurai Champloo, Nabari no Ou and D Gray Man!
Like that's not obvious already, LOL. But I like stuff like Honey and Clover,
Ouran High School Host Club, Absolute Boy, Saiunkoku Monogatari... The list
carries on.. I'm afraid that I'm not a huge fan of some of those ultra-shoujo
stuff like Clannad.. Though I admit to having a bit of a soft spot to CardCaptor
Sakura for some reason..

several unfinished projects so I intend to finish them first :p Vampire Princess
Miyu is mostly about ghost hunting and or exorcism. Just think about it like
Bleach, but with vampire as the main characters. It's kind of weird... I
wouldn't recommend watching the show because it's not really interesting. The
manga is fairly better, but I think it only scores 6/10 IMO. The illustrations
style is unique though, because it's inky and fluid which is rarely seen with
the newer titles.

I've finished Mort! Haha, Death has the soul of a cook. :P And Mort's slow
transformation into Death was kind of awesome to read, in a slightly creepy way.
And the side characters were a real laugh. Terry
Pratchett sure has imagination. ^.^ I notice that his and Neil Gaiman's style of
writing give readers the feel like they are watching a film, and actually
feeling it. Well, Terry's beginnings still could do with work.. "The Colour
of Magic" is not really starting off to my liking.. maybe there's better
stuff to come..
Another writer, Frank Beddor, attempted a similar style, with his Looking Glass
Wars Series. While it definitely has its thrills and quirks, I guess he has
gotten to used to the 'blockbuster' style.. No big surprise, since he IS a
scriptwriter, originally..

By the way, do you draw any doujinshis yourself? I do, though I can't show them
here since I don't have a scanner.. I've just read a book about a certain
artist, Christy Agen (I believe), and her painting style... and I would like to
try out her style someday. ^.^ If I had a scanner, I would probably scan some of
her art and tips for my own enjoyment.
Another art style I would like to test out is inking, the traditional way. I
haven't found an easy-to-follow book for that though..

Also, thirteen was around the time when I started being a bit more aware of art
and started periodically trying to improve my style.. If I had found Minitokyo
earlier, I would have worked even harder.. i know because since I joined MT last
year, I have improved..

Oh, and I finished reading Airman by Eoin Colfer last week! And again, I was
'leeching' from the bookstores.
Anyway, it was a surprisingly nice read! It is about a boy named Conor who is
literally born amid the skies, on a hot air balloon. From the moment he was
born, there was intigue and plots around him, as said hot air balloon was
'targeted'... for assassination! Well, Conor grows up in France, with both
French and Irish blood coursing through his veins, and proves himself to be not
only scientifically endowed, but a knight in progress. But this boy is a dreamer
too, with his head is in the clouds almost literally.. his dream is to fly! So,
this story involves Science, politics, thrills, myatery and some sneaky
schemes.. oh, and a little romance. I
love hoe Colfer spins all these elements into an engrossing read. Even though he
doesn't stuff it with descriptions, I could imagine the story like it was
real... My recommendation, definitely. And I love the skies too, so why not?

It's ok, not a whole lot of people get the same sense of satisfaction I get when
listening to the stuff I do. I respect all peoples' tastes in music, but I would
never listen to any other genre. If there isn't any screaming, growling,
gurgling, etc. ...no good for me.

probably won't finish it or submit it... -.- It's a play off of "The Last
Samurai" I already did the character vector and a silhouette vector of a
mounted samurai, but I have no idea what to do for the background. The anime was
Bamboo Blade...and I had a cool wallpaper name too: The Last Bamboo Samurai.

Now, I don't have to search for that.. And Pelikan turned out to be the same brand a friend of mine uses at the office. So maybe I could ask my friend to get it for me..
Don't worry! I was just looking at it through Photoshop, because I wanted to refresh my memory on how it looked. I would never doodle any artists' pieces, at least not with their permission! I admit I like turning them around, into new angles sometimes though..
I get what you mean about doing it traditionally.. It feels great when we get it done after spending so much time and effort on it, then can display it proudly. And, yeah, there's no CTRL + Z in art, let alone in life.. I remember some pictures that screw up because I peskily decided the proportion looked wrong, rubbed something off then find that I couldn't get it back.. the horror..
After I drew Lavi in my first DGM fanart, it felt hard to draw him again.. But then I just felt the urge to draw him, during class, so I got out paper, and just let my hand go! Well, it looks more like the doujin style.. but I like how it turned out. It's not complete, not satisfied with the legs' pose, and no background yet.. but the face will absolutely remain! I will NOT ever rub it off.. Just hope that after my hiatus, I still will be able to draw it..
Looks like you really are talented, Zefie! I mainly use pencils for fanart, though I have ONE that I used a nomal black pen for (and it turned out not bad, surprise surprise) and I have learned watercolours, poster colours and acrylic before..

Cool, you're fast.. I'm having trouble just finding some speedy, and subbed episodes as it is..
My project.. well, it might have to go on hiatus due to some er..personal stuff..which I can't go into detail since it involves other people who would rather I keep their anonymity intact.. Anyway, it started off with an idea, to have two people positioned around a gate, at different sides, and contrasting styles. There was supposed to be just a girl wearing white standing on the right, and a black-clad boy posing well, feral-like on the left, in the upper corner. And the positions did remind me of yin and yang, only the colours and positions were swapped.. I was going to make the gate sort of ethereal, with timepieces, clockwork, that sort of thing. I've never done that though so it was going to be an experiment. ^.^
But then, after I had done the sketch for the girl, complete with white Gothic Lolita dress and some decidedly laverrine-inspired curvy designs, the canvas started to feel a tad... too small. I tried to draw another character, because I realise that it might feel more significant if there was someone to turn the clock's key or something. And discovered that the perspective of the whole picture just wouldn't suit it. There needed to be more space! Since I wasn't too sure, I just concentrated on giving what I had already drawn, more details..
In the end, an idea grew, and now, I'm planning for a picture that will stretch out over 4 A4 papers.
The
best thing is that at least two panels look like they are telling a story of
their own. The idea is to have these guardians, all whom are sort of symbols,
still around the gate(only it's bigger and maybe, more elaborate. Oh and with
steps since the perspective looks better then), and well lots of patterns. I
made the girl Feminism, since I'm out of ideas on what to do with her. And it
still means Yin, anyway.. And I've drawn Luck, though he looks a little like a
magician or trickster, complete with cards and top hat. ^_^ Well, cards are a
game of luck..sometimes. And integrated the clover, spade, ace, diamond and
hearts into the patterns near him. I have this tendency to, when in doubt, draw
fabrics! So there's now three sheets all over the place. 
And the
pattern styles are going a bit sparse; there's art noveau, Celtic (inspired by
the cover of Diana's Wynne Jones' book, Magician's Conspiracy) and Oriental. Oh
well, it looks good to me.
I only hope that when I finally have time to get back to it, I would still be able to draw the other characters.. Not to mention all the architecture..
Other planned charas are Fate, Death, Justice, KeyMaster and Music(though, for some reason, they're twins). So what do you think? It's definitely harder than my usual..
Oh and I started drawing Lavi again. Just got the urge during a particularly boring History class with the teacher throwing glares at the guys sitting around me.. No, they're not sitting there because they want to; I just had the misfortune to end up siting amid way too many guys..

Oh yes, the palette tool for Artrage; nifty thing that is. It's almost like the smudge tool in Photoshop, only more realistic. It's nicer to use if there are layers though.. back then, I didn't have the layers option so it was messy.. So you're learning to paint too?

This might sound vain, but I look forward to seeing my art here too. It's taking my friend ages to scan them.. I don't have the heart to bully him though, he's been rather busy, what with sports day then the koperasi food fair and then his Moral project.. Though the project is his own fault. hmph. Oh the robotics competition wasn't as cool as that! Wouldn't mind if it was actual battle. >:-> But anyway, it's basically like this: We are given a track and a task, in this case to plant (shove or carry, actually) some erm.. bits and odds, into squares on the track. So speed and efficiency matter. I was in charge of programming which felt like Photoshopping to me, for some reason.. Had to change the speeds and times in the last minute because it turned out that the initial speed was too fast and we kept losing grip of the 'plant'. *rolls eyes* They kept emphasising on speed and lookie.. I'll make you watch another anime! Nabari no Ou isn't like other ninja anime,
it's set in modern times for one thing and they're trying to make it not centric
around all the ever-so-awesome-and-big ninja techniques.. (I'm being sarcastic,
just so you know) . Nabari no Ou is kinda intriguing... I get the feeling that
not everyone is telling the whole truth.. so there's lots more to find out as it
goes along.. and me love the art! The chara designs are so clean..

Er..yeah, green is a spring colour.. and so is pink. You know, spring blossom? I often think that white and light blue as spring colours too, because it's when you can finally get clear skies.. then again, there are spring showers..
Hmm.. that scan.. it is kind of hard if you are not going to extend it at all.. Well, if you are going for dark, I'm thinking blood splatter on their skin and the ground.. Maybe some branches(leaves or sakura, up to you), you know, like really dark silhouettes against the background..nice if you can get red strings sort of hanging, web-like on the branches...best from a perspective that shows the floor too. I suppose since Kain controls fire.. some flames might do. If you want pretty... take away the blood and make it all brighter. And maybe some snow..

I skipped episode 50of D Gray Man. Watched Spanish subs for 51, 52, 55, 56. Not good since I have very little idea on what they were talking about. Had to very roughly translate the subs and listen to the Japanese.. Found an English version of 54, thankfully. And ended up reading the subs from a website that hosts screenshots LOL. Well, they also had the downloads but they don't work on my computer.. Allen! Poor him! I know that he will survive but still.. T.T . Trust the subs to kill the mood..
Ended up watching the omake videos. Very funny! I've also been reading a lot of fanfic.. I don't quite support all those LavixAllen, Yullen thingies, but I find some rather hilarious. Like how Komui finding the Internet has Lavi blackmailing poor Allen into a AreKan.. "AreKan? Is that the name of some evil overlord?" "Take a good look." *Allen stares* "NNNOOOO!" *goes crazy* (Total LOL!) Lavi : "And I haven't even shown him the doujinshi yet.."

Oh I had a robotics competition on Tuesday. Didn't win but learned quite a bit. Surprisingly the rural schools did quite well. One of the city schools had an appalling attitude though. They sent one boy out to put the robot on the track, then when he got nervous, instead of being encouraging, his teammate was calling the competition crap and all that from the sidelines. That guy didn't even stay around for his partner after he finished. How helpful is that?! They didn't win either..
Still, I am trying to vector some stuff now.. see how it goes..

Actually, I did a little review for Nabari no Ou in Rainfalling Love before..
. Well, what I like about Nabari no Ou is that their main
character, Miharu is such an enigma! He acts so indifferent sometimes yet has a
slightly devilish side.. he doesn't mind at all to use his 'charms' to get his
way.. >:-> Haha. But despite his apathy, it turns out that he does care..
he just doesn't want to show it.. He's kind of lovable, but in an unusual way..
Well, you just have to watch their first episode to get it! I think I might
recommend this..
What type of anime I like? Well, hmm... er.. no specific type really.. I just know I can't stand anime with an overload of ecchi and not-at-all funny 'humour'. I didn't like Magikano at all other than maybe, its first episode and the one about the play.. But what I really love are anime that can keep a sense of mystery, some action, actual intelligence, and still be hilarious. Samurai Champloo was awesome, in that sense. Except for episode 22 with the weird crack about aliens and the nuclear mushroom cloud. Seriously off tangent, that was.. Of course, it's also nice to watch anime with good art. Like the only Gonzo production that got it right; Gankutsuou. ^.^ As for mecha.. only if the mecha is actually high quality. I mean, it's no fun to watch sluggish, crude robots bashing at each other anymore, is it?
I've watched Read Or Die too! I wish there was a bit more development though.. and I want to see more Paper action! :P
Gungrave sounds almost American..is it? Oh, I don't usually watch the too-long-winded sort of anime.. main reason I stay off Bleach and Naruto. Can't afford to keep chasing after the episodes; it's hard enough looking for D Gray Man. see any of the scratchiness that comes with pen lines. Now that I'm looking at
your picture through my Photoshop, I can see the brush strokes.. Hmm, I think I
have just the right brush for that.. though I really should be using that for my
watercolours.. 
Yes, I would love to know the techniques some people use for their awesome art. It's nice to try it out ourselves, feels like an accomplishment when we managed to get it right.. I don't know if anyone else could make a doujinshi quite like yours, through Photoshop.. one of the reasons yours is unique is that we can see that it is traditionally inked and your own ideaas well.

I imagine white roses. :3 I don't know why exactly, I just did. White roses, a deep blue sky or a twilight sky, sakura and maybe some scenery stuff like a curved bridge. Basically, an oriental garden. ^.^ If not, A black background and some sakura branches and red ribbons would be nice. A bit cliche..but if you want something more original, I can think up or something.
How do you get your images to show in a link like that anyway? It doesn't look like it's linked to ImageShack or Photo Bucket.. Sorry for asking all these questions about links..I'm kind of new to these codes..
I haven't submitted any vectors yet.. but I used my meagre extraction and vectoring skills to make this cards for a pal. I quote this from a message I had sent to someone..hope he doesn't mind.

Albino is a person who is born with white skin and hair, and usually, red eyes. This is because they were not born with the proper colour pigment genes like us. Their skin can be kinda sensitive to heat and light..and it is pretty blinding to see white skin in bright sunlight. It's not a very favourable condition..however, it does not make them freaks at all..Inside, they're the same as all of us..
Well, censorship seems to be a big deal in China.. I guess Veoh got on their wrong side or something. Still, now that Veoh's blocked 40++ countries, a lot of them being Asian, Latino and Eastern European, lots of users are crying foul in the forums..and proxies have never seen better business, methinks. They don't really work for me.. the video still doesn't load even though I got onto the site.
Well, Crunchyroll has subs for Nabari no Ou now, but I don't know if they are the group you want to see.. they use soft subtitles though, so we can switch them off and on.

Yea, Minitokyo's been going through a few problems.. I still love it though. :P I'm fine with it..so long they don't pull off the latest stunt that Veoh has done! That would be awful! And really depressing!
Right now, my favourite anime are Samurai Champloo, Nabari no Ou and D Gray Man! Like that's not obvious already, LOL. But I like stuff like Honey and Clover, Ouran High School Host Club, Absolute Boy, Saiunkoku Monogatari... The list carries on.. I'm afraid that I'm not a huge fan of some of those ultra-shoujo stuff like Clannad.. Though I admit to having a bit of a soft spot to CardCaptor Sakura for some reason..

I've finished Mort! Haha, Death has the soul of a cook. :P And Mort's slow transformation into Death was kind of awesome to read, in a slightly creepy way. And the side characters were a real laugh.

Pratchett sure has imagination. ^.^ I notice that his and Neil Gaiman's style of
writing give readers the feel like they are watching a film, and actually
feeling it. Well, Terry's beginnings still could do with work.. "The Colour
of Magic" is not really starting off to my liking.. maybe there's better
stuff to come..
Another writer, Frank Beddor, attempted a similar style, with his Looking Glass Wars Series. While it definitely has its thrills and quirks, I guess he has gotten to used to the 'blockbuster' style.. No big surprise, since he IS a scriptwriter, originally..

I've just read a book about a certain artist, Christy Agen (I believe), and her painting style... and I would like to try out her style someday. ^.^ If I had a scanner, I would probably scan some of her art and tips for my own enjoyment.

Aww.. I know how that feels.. my computer was a goner for a month and a bit more last February, and being away from the internet hurted. T.T here too when that happened. And then when I got it back, my Photoshopping skills felt so weird.. painting on Photoshop is kind of hard now. Especially clouds.

Well, frankly, I wish I had found Minitokyo earlier... like maybe when I was thirteen.. For one thing, I had more time! This age is the dreaded year for all Malaysian students; SPM year! Which means Big Major Exam Which Will Seriously Take Up Your Time And Make Not Just Your Seventeen Sour But your Sweet Sixteen.. Not. *sulk Exams are a part of life, I suppose.. but why 12 subjects... Westerners only have 5 subjects and they're learning them more in depth.. What is the point of memorising all the moral values and definitions when we aren't even sure about local traditions anymore.. Argh, excuse me for the rant!
Also, thirteen was around the time when I started being a bit more aware of art and started periodically trying to improve my style.. If I had found Minitokyo earlier, I would have worked even harder.. i know because since I joined MT last year, I have improved..
Well, well, can't turn back time.
Oh, and I finished reading Airman by Eoin Colfer last week! And again, I was 'leeching' from the bookstores.
Anyway, it was a surprisingly nice read! It is about a boy named Conor who is
literally born amid the skies, on a hot air balloon. From the moment he was
born, there was intigue and plots around him, as said hot air balloon was
'targeted'... for assassination! Well, Conor grows up in France, with both
French and Irish blood coursing through his veins, and proves himself to be not
only scientifically endowed, but a knight in progress. But this boy is a dreamer
too, with his head is in the clouds almost literally.. his dream is to fly! So,
this story involves Science, politics, thrills, myatery and some sneaky
schemes.. oh, and a little romance. 
I
love hoe Colfer spins all these elements into an engrossing read. Even though he
doesn't stuff it with descriptions, I could imagine the story like it was
real... My recommendation, definitely. And I love the skies too, so why not?

Yeah, the coding is kind of weird.. wonder how the others got their pages to look so nice.. take dslassey's and temari's for example; you can't get shades of purple and pink like that just by writing the actual words..

yesterday, I tried it out.. the result? I can't get it right at all. Combing and
brushing aren't enough anymore, it seems.. But hair cream would seriously make
my hair look greasy.. Ironically, my hair finally turned out as it should after
